Jim has devoted much of his life to understanding the art and science of the lighting business. This started as a graduate of Penn State by accomplishing a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering with a specialized focus in Lighting and it’s principles. After college, he started his career in 1991 with Zumtobel Lighting in applications and marketing. As that resulted in working closely with NYC lighting designers to understand their needs and help them navigate the multitudes of information the space has to offer, Jim then transitioned into sales.
Jim considers it an honor to have forged deep relationships with such an amazing and talented pool of lighting designers, architects, and interior designers and takes pride in assisting them in achieving their vision from design to execution. This drives Jim to constantly learn more about the different aspects in lighting, understanding that expertise comes down to his passion for detail and solving problems for clients. His wealth of knowledge allows him to provide insightful advice and recommendations to the network that International Lights services. Beyond trying to come up with lighting solutions for his valued clients, he enjoys spending time with family and his different communities. With a true love for everything water, nature, culture and art, Jim enjoys experiencing these things with great company and even better food!
