Aella
Aella (1968) remains one of the icons of Leucos, representing our vision to bring a fresh, contemporary point of view to traditional handblown glass techniques. As a Maestro from the Veneto region of Italy hand blows Aella, they create a stunning cone of glass frozen in its diffuser. As if by magic, a vortex of light appears to float inside this glass cone and beautifully illuminates your space. Toso & Massari’s design inspiration for this glass shape came from Aella (the Ancient Greek word for “whirlwind”), who was the first Amazon warrior bold enough to lunge at Heracles.
While, originally available only as a large-scale table lamp, Leucos has worked with the original designers to expand the family to now include pendants in addition to the original table lamp as well as new shape profiles, sizes finish options and Integrated LED.

Ether
Designed by the creative genius Patrick Jouin, Ether is one of the most stunning and mesmerizing designs in the Leucos Icon Collection. Ether is light and airy yet also substantial and strong. It is composed of three sizes of glass elements, each uniquely dimpled so that no two of them are the same. The result is an ether of shimmering glass and light that will dazzle and delight.
In additional to 3 standard chandeliers (Ether S, S90 and S150), we can work with you to create stunning large-scale installations of any shape and size. These custom installations can be attached directly to the ceiling using your own downlights or we can create a custom canopy/lamping to illuminate your creation.
JJ Collection
Leucos’s history with the JJ collection is rich and long spanning. In 1937, Danish designer Jac Jacobsen created the L-1 architect desk lamp – what many know today as a Luxo lamp as it was manufactured by Luxo. As the lamp grew in popularity, Luxit, an independent Italian arm of Luxo was created (Luxit = Luxo + Itay). Leucos parent company acquired Luxit and we created a large scale version called JJ Great (JJ giving homage to Jac Jacobsen initial and great to reference its size). JJ Great can open up to 13’ tall and can be used outside.
We have recently expanded the JJ Collection to include JJ BIG (Pendant, Floor lamp and Grip) – which is more on the scale of typical room, JJ MID (Wall and Reading Floor Lamp) and JJ SMALL (Table and wall lamp). This entire collection is now includes a proprietary user replaceable integrated LED module designed with Citizen.
The JJ Big Grip is a special typology using the super clamp and Autopole from our sister company, ALU. JJ Big Grip can clamp to an Autopole or Grip Ceiling/Wall Mount or anything else you can image. There’s even an outdoor model that can clamp to a tree! In addition to being user replaceable, our proprietary LED module is powerful enough for commercial use (up to 5,600 lumens) yet beautiful enough for residential or hospitality. This user replaceable LED module will be powering other Leucos products in the near future.
