The newest addition to our Estimator line of recessed lighting is the ES03, a 3” downlight and wall wash series for remodel and new construction, available in both round and square. The ES03 is also suitable for wet location applications. It comes with a Zhaga international standard LED module for ease of maintenance and future replacement along with a quick connect LED module and trim attachment.
120V-277V universal input with standard 0-10V 1% Dimming. The LED system features high efficacy LEDs backed by standard softening lens. Standard CRI is 90. Drivers are overload and short circuit protected as well as thermally regulated
Sound rating A. Auto dim thermal protector for long term reliability.

Meet Clarence, the newest addition to the Speclume Family of decorative performance pendants. Available in three sizes for scalability, these fixtures can fit in various applications. Soft view lensing is visually comfortable yet highly efficient. Available in a wide variety of finishes for inside and outside the fixtures. Integral LED can be specified in 27-40 K in 80 or 90 CRI and up to 5500 source lumens. We hope you enjoy meeting Clarence.

Gamma Series
4″ & 6″ Diameter Luminaires for Interior & Exterior Applications
Spectrum’s Gamma Series are precision crafted in our factory from extruded, die cast and machined aluminum. Fixtures have integral LEDs, drivers, optics and lenses. There are a variety of finishes, mountings, lumens and beam spreads available. Everything is designed to be easily maintained and serviced.
The Gamma Family’s robust offerings are suitable for a wide range of commercial and institutional applications. These point source LED luminaires feature high efficacies, an assortment of optical controls and installation flexibility.
Giant Globes Pendants
The Giant Globes are designed for decorative indoor lighting and come in 5 different sizes. These products have a maximum delivered output of 5000 lumens and can be ordered individually or as a cluster. The cluster option allows you to have multiple sizes in a single space with adjusted lumen outputs for matching globe illuminance.
Plato Drum
Designed for decorative but functional indoor lighting this luminaire features a regressed white opal acrylic lens, which diffuses the light and provides soft-edge general illumination. The Plato Drum has a maximum delivered output of 2300 lumens with an 18″ diameter and a 5″ height. It can be mounted using cord and cable or be surface mounted.
4″ Super Shallow Downlight
The high performance recessed SGEC is one of the newest additions to Spectrum’s Infinium Downlights. These products feature a very shallow plenum at about 3.5 inches deep which makes them great for tight areas with limited space above the ceiling.

Unlike the competition that have shower-light looking lensed white trims, the Estimator Series features spun aluminum reflector with deep cutoff for visual comfort and traditional downlight characteristics. Available with wall wash and wet location.
This series is offered in dedicated 120V 0-10V 1% dimming as well as dual voltage 120/277V 0-10V 1% option.
The Estimator series are part of the Spectrum Quick Ship Program and orders typically ship in 3-5 days.

The Cafés
The Cafés are a collection of luminaires designed for smaller scale decorative performance lighting. All fixtures are handcrafted in the Spectrum factory in Fall River, Massachusetts. Shades and components are hand spun from natural metals and finished to specification.
DMD & DLD Series Now with DLC Premium Listings
The Spectrum Lumen Max product group continues to evolve with this new series of mid and high bay fixtures which have recently been added to the DLC Premium list. Check designlights.org for up to date listings of our products as we are anticipating more products will be added throughout the year.
New DLC Premium Listings include: DMD22GZ 240L, DMD22GY 160L, DMD22GY 200L and DLD22GZ 300L. All are available with 35K or 40K and DX 1% dimming.
The DMD and DLD series feature a high powered LED board and heatsink which are perfectly integrated into the hand spun domed top driver housing. Unlike linear LED array flat panels that create glare and eye fatigue, these fixtures have a deep cutoff with gentle glowing prismatic refractors or spun white reflectors. These fixtures can be specified into Gymnasiums, Open Offices, Factories, Warehouses and Retail applications.
There is a wide variety of finishes, dimming control and mounting options. These will also be added to our Quick Ship list sometime in the coming months.

These 4″ x 7″ cylinders are specifically designed for spaces with exposed conduit and 4″ surface-mounted junction boxes.
Zeva
The Zeva is a small diameter RLM style shade that is inspired by vintage lighting styling with the option of traditional incandescent lamps or modern LED technology with a maximum delivered lumen output of 1100 Lm. The Zeva comes with many options for mounting including a special wall mount with an arm and bracket design.

The Evenlight is part of our Specline product group and features a wrap around lens for semi-direct illumination.

Dodger Pendant
The Dodger Pendant was originally designed for the L.A. Dodgers Stadium Remodel. Inner matte white acrylic glows softly while outer perforated shade creates visual appeal. The Dodger Pendant evokes 1930’s luminaire design with modern materials. The wide range of sizes allows for a creative use of these pendants. Top and bottom of fixture are nicely finished with beautifully spun aluminum end caps. LED module and drivers are replaceable and upgradable. LED Driver in canopy for thermal management. A of variety sizes, finishes and mounting options are available.
Giant Warehouse Shades
The Giant Warehouse Shades are large diameter versions of one of our most popular RLM styles. Inspired by vintage lighting styling with modern light sources and materials. The wide range of options for illumination, mounting, enclosures, guards and finishes allows for creative luminaire specification.
Orion Pendant
Part of our Domo Shades family, the Orion hemisphere pendant was designed for decorative area lighting. Speclume series fixtures offer contemporary style with functional luminaire performance. All fixtures are designed and manufactured in our factory. LED Driver in canopy for thermal management. A variety of mounting options are available. Lumenstick – 3″ Decorative Series
Lumenstick series fixtures are designed for decorative lighting applications where visual comfort and luminaire performance are required. Crafted in our USA factory from heavy gauge machined extruded aluminum, these fixtures will last a lifetime and hang straight and true. Integral LED driver and emitter are best in class and designed for ultra-long life. Various fixture lengths available to mix and match to create a mobile of light. Visually comfortable light view with diffuse (OSD) optics that mimic small A-lamp, and is regressed into fixture for optimal cutoff. Choose matching interior and exterior finish for a simple understated look or add a different interior color for a visual impact. Color cords and a thin profile canopy finish the fixture with a minimalist appearance.

Lumen Max High Bay Series – DMD and DLD
The DMD & DLD Lumen Max series offer high delivered lumens with visual comfort. Unlike many LED strip based high bays that produce offensive glare, Spectrum’s Lumen Max series have superior shielding for low brightness visually comfortable high lumen illumination. Vino Pendant
The Vino Pendant is hand spun in our factory from 1100-0 grade aluminum and finished to specification. These fixtures feature a unique rolled front edge with no visible hardware. A matte white opaque lens shields the LEDs and provides visually comfortable illumination. Delivering over 4000 lumens these pendants can be the main functional lighting in a space or dimmed down to provide ambient light. The fixtures have integral best in class LEDs and drivers for long maintenance free life. There are a variety of color finishes, mounting options, cord color as well as kelvin and dimming options. As with all Spectrum fixtures, these are proudly precision crafted in our Fall River Massachusetts factory.
Infinium IF03 – 3″ Recessed Series
The Infinium 3″ Series (IF03) is designed for residential, hospitality, office interiors and other projects where a clean, high performance, visually comfortable, small aperture downlight is required. Spectrum’s standard white LEDs are high quality 2 macadam ellipse binning and are most commonly used in office, residential, commercial and hospitality environments. Spectrum’s specialty LEDs are designed for applications like restaurants, residential, hospitality and other areas where warmer or varied color temperatures are desired. Our extra warm 2200K closely resembles candle light and will appear warmer and more inviting than 2700K. Dimming from 3000K to 1600K, Spectrum’s Dim To Warm series mimics halogen lamps which become warmer in color when dimmed resulting in a cozy, subtly lighted atmosphere.
Pro-Lighting Tips – Session 1.0 – Object Appearance & LED Color Quality
In this Lighting Design Application video, from the Spectrum Lighting Inc., Tech Center, we discuss a few real-world aspects of lighting merchandise: A small sports car, painted Dijon mustard yellow color. A challenging color to illuminate. For visual reference, primary red, yellow, and blue fabric swatches are placed on the hood.
Initially, the car is illuminated by 4000K (Kelvin), 80 CRI (Color Rendering Index) general light (75-100 FC at 36″ AFF) from high bay luminaires. The 4000K, 80 CRI source does not render the car color very well. It appears greyish-yellow, because the cool-tone LED’s, which have “good” color rendering ability, do not have much yellow light-energy within its SPD (Spectral Power Distribution). SPD quantifies the wavelength(s) of light sources and is measured in nanometers (nm).
Lighting Facts
- Visible light (to humans), contains the colors in a rainbow, and spans from short wavelength violet (400nm) to red (760nm) and every color in between.
- Natural light from the sun and sky contains all of these wavelengths simultaneously (depending on time of day, location, and atmospheric conditions) and therefore appears to our eyes as “white” light, causing all objects to appear predictably natural.
- In order for an object to appear “natural” to the human eye when illuminated by a given white LED source; the SPD of the LED must contain light energy with the wavelength(s) that correspond to the pigmentation (physical color) of the object being illuminated.
Next, we add a second layer of 4000K, 98 CRI accent lights, to deliver higher quality light from additional locations, to better model the form of the car. The illumination of vertical surfaces is important. The car looks better, but the muted Dijon mustard color has still not come to life. This suggests that despite its “excellent” 98 CRI rating, the SPD of this 4000K LED light source does not have enough yellow wavelength light-energy to do the job.
Next, we change to different, slightly warmer, “neutral white” LED light sources: 3500K, 80 CRI from overhead high bay luminaires, and 3500K, 98 CRI accent lights, to better model the form and boost overall light levels on the vertical surfaces. Both of these sources have more yellow light-energy within their SPD. Now, the car appears more lively and the enriched appearance looks more like Yellow mustard, than greyish, Dijon mustard. The muted yellow car has come to life!
Food for Thought
This unscientific Before and After experiment, suggests that warm-tone LED’s, such as 3000K, or 2700K, with greater yellow light-energy within the SPD’s, and 80-to-98 CRI, would cause the Dijon mustard yellow car to look better and better. This may be true, however one must also be aware of, and sensitive to, the wide range of colors, forms, surfaces, and finishes that occur in any given space; and also anticipate that changes will likely occur. For example: The adjacent car in a showroom might be green or blue. Therefore, the neutral 3500K with 80-98 CRI may represent a wise choice. Visual perception, although fairly predictable, is also highly subjective from person to person. In the design of lighting, no matter what the calculations predict, or the renderings portray, the eye will always be the final judge.
